Why do we play GB's??

Can someone tell me the point of playing GB. Because I have no idea. I understand they are against top competition and everything, but I would just rather pub stomp with everyone instead. Its much more fun. And GB's are not fun, everyone proved that last match. So yeah, I just want to know, because im going to 3rd prestige. Not gonna be available until i get to like level 25-30 for GB's.

GB's are so you can truly test your skills and to prove you are actually a good player because pubs are full of noobs most of the time

no idea niners, the only reason i thought they were good for mw2 was it eliminated the bad things like noob tubes and stuff. There is not something that can be eliminated in bo that would change playing a gb for, only thing bad is the connections. I dont know why people put such a high stance on gb but i play for fun... Who cares if your gb team is 100-0, it does nothing for you in life lol...

public matches are fun, but i want to get involved with GB because its a lot better competition. and it forces you to really work as a team. its not a replacement or public matches, but its something fun to do on the side that lets you know how you actually do stack up against other people out there

Yes pubs are full of noobs, but that what makes it fun. Id rather get a chopper every game against a bunch of people who cant play then be stressed over GB's. And I know I am good, no where near top of the line and I dont think GB's will tell me anything different. We dont practice as a team on strats or callouts so.. how could we be a good team. I just dont get it. Just me speaking opinion.

we also don't play GB lol. if we played more we would practice more. but matches never get set up

I'm with niners... I think we should practice as a team and talk to each other. If we play GB is because we are going to win. If we play regular match and we don't speak to each other, then how are we going to do it on GB? We need to practice at least once a week as a group, do some combat training and practice together. Let me know, I am looking forward to play whatever and whenever...

Well I know that I loved to play GB's is Modern Warfare 2 because it got rid of Noob tubers but it still left some stuff in there (UMP, Commando...), it made the game sleightly more enjoyable but then you had allot of people that just shit talked and if you lost, your whole team would feel like crap.

In Black Ops, Pub stomping is a little harder, but I like the way that allot more people in Black Ops turned away from a slayer role to more of a cap/defend role. I also find that in Black Ops, if you aren't playing as a team, you can easily lose against a bunch of randoms that just cap stuff.

So In my opinion, Game Battles on Black Ops is pretty much useless, because it forces you to play as a team anyways, and there isn't allot of bullshitty things removed in Black Ops (I think only the flame thrower and Grenade Launcher are removed in Black Ops, but then you only need Flak Jacket Pro).

Of course that's my opinion and anybody can feel free to test it, but it stays that way and nobody can change it.

well i think that pubs are fun and gb is alright I would choose pubs anyday because I like to play in a party and win its fun and everybody has a blast.
